Here respite is paid by the foster parents, I'm not sure what they'd do but I haven't ever seen that be a problem. Most of us will babysit or do respite for free or a return of the favor. We always get our payment for care on the 9th but if its on the weekend sometimes it won't be until the 10th or 11th.
